basically it runs thru the spec of the GS in PAL land..

very high end features with consumer brains and "ease of use" in mind.. much like the MX500..

its not progressive, its frame mode.. basically, it will capture the 2 fileds (per frame) and interpolate the 2 into one frame.
With that kind of resolution, there is no considerable loss in image quality.. but as its also runnign full res Widescreen, the results would be spectacular.. (better than the DVC30)

U know, come to think of it, im sure thered be someone ouit there with a firmware hack to get the GS to adjust Phasing, colour, filters gamma's, knee, master pededstals etc etc like the DVC..
i wish there was.. coz id seriously look at gettin afew of these.. the only reason i didnt get one, is coz i opted for another DVX.. (i coulda gotten 3 GS's )

one thing i havnt seen is teh GS compared to the DVC30 in low light.. cosnidering the CCD is larger, it shoudl theoretically be better.. but the manual controls in teh DVC are what make it what it is..

hmm.. at least i know if i want afew extra cams, i have these lil babies to consider :)

image stablization

O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser)
The O.I.S. helps assuring clear, beautiful pictures by compensating for any hand-shake that occurs as you shoot. Gyrosensors detect the amount and direction of hand-shake and a linear motor adjusts the lenses as needed to compensate.

MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer)
The MEGA O.I.S. system takes O.I.S. technology a step further by adding a sensitivity selector. This allows MEGA O.I.S. to provide about twice*1 as much hand-shake correction when shooting still pictures as Std. O.I.S. provides with moving pictures.

this is what is listed in australian gs400

does american have optical stablization or electronic stablization

does anyone know
