Ed had to take it down. He's kind enough to let me upload another one to him- I want you guys to see the next clip I have to show.....

Chris Hurd July 11th, 2003 06:52 AM

Once I get home from this NYC trade show trip, we'll be able to set up a file server on the DV Info site and provide some clip hosting. Hope this helps,

Glen Elliott July 11th, 2003 07:12 AM

Wow Chris, your in my neck of the woods now- well sorta...I'm from NJ....

That would be great! What will be the file size limit. The clip I want to upload is 4 minutes long encoded as WMV @ a file size of 9megs.
If you guys need money to fund the webspace and bandwith I'll be happy to pitch in....this would be sooo worth it.

Actually is it possible to be able to upload clips right to your post? I browse other PHB forums that have the "upload" option right at the bottom of the new post dialog.

Rob Lohman July 11th, 2003 07:29 AM

It is unlikely that we would offer such an upload facility so easily
because it usually turns into a playground then. Just contact
Chris and if there is time/space available he will arrange the
upload and you can link to it in a post. A little bit more work, but
it ensures our continued quality and check on things here.

Glen Elliott July 11th, 2003 07:38 AM

Either way it'll be an invaluable asset to those who don't have webspace to showcase their work- Thanks.

Mark Monciardini July 11th, 2003 03:50 PM

I can't get the link to work. Seems dead. Can you repost. I would really like to see your work!

Glen Elliott July 11th, 2003 05:30 PM

Mark, you probably didn't read all the replies in this thread- I had explained that Ed (the guy who donated the webspace for the clip) had to remove it (I'm assuming because of bandwith issues). I will, however be uploading another clip really soon and I'll be sure to post the link to it.

Meanwhile if your that interested I can email it to you though it's a little large.

David Nussbaum July 14th, 2003 06:42 PM

get it up soon :D

Not anything recent, not wedding related, and not shot on DVX100 but some of my work none the less:

The link doesn't work

Glen Elliott July 16th, 2003 05:03 AM

I posted this link in another thread warning everyone it wouldn't be up long. Seems like everyone keeps missing it. doh!

Oh well I have to learn some HTML and get my own website up so I have a venue to post my work.

Much thanks for Ed Troxel for taking the time to upload and host the clips- thanks!

Joe Camerlinck July 21st, 2003 10:50 PM

I wish the link worked, I'd like to check it out also. ;(

I really have to get my arse in gear and get some webspace. I don\'t want to nag Trox for another lot of webspace. He\'s already been too gracious. I promise when I get my website up you guys will be the first I notify. Though that might not be a good idea band-width speaking- I\'ll get slammed.
