DVX100 problem...
 

Hi there..

I know the DVX is getting on a bit, but i'm using one and have run into a bit of trouble.

When i turned it on today, the error 'Auto Off - Cylinder Lock' came up.

Now, i know this is telling me it has cut the power to the tape transport for some reason, but i don't know why.

Does anyone know a fix for this? It hasn't been dropped and resetting it doesn't make any difference. I've tried getting hold of a service manual but no luck so far..

If no one has any tips on how to fix this, can anyone recommend a trustworthy repair place around here? I'm in Herts UK.

That's definitely something you'll want to send in for repair. Check the back of your user's manual for some recommended repair centers in your area.
