The PAL version of the DVX100A is already available here in Hong Kong. I have ordered a NTSC version (US$3200) including an extra large battery... should arrive by 10 Jan!! It would be my first prosumer DV. Can't wait to play with it.

Paul,

I live in the UK and Panasonic UK do not seem to know when they will have the PAL version here. I suspect it is because they have LOTS of DVX 100s still to sell!! Even the DVC 80 is not sold here.

Can you tell me what sort of price the PAL version is selling for in Hong Kong?

Paul Leung December 24th, 2003 07:54 PM

PAL version is also US$3200. It has been selling for a couple of weeks in HK already... may be we are close to Japanese... thus getting it sooner. However, it is not that popular in HK... most people perfer Sony.

Thanks Paul,

Perhaps I need to visit Hong Kong, or do you know a reliable company that would ship it to the UK?

Happy Christmas

John,
Sorry, I don't know any in HK... online shopping for stuffs like Video Cam is still not popular in HK. We go directly to the shops. If anyone tells you that they can send you one from HK, don't trust them. HK is so small that any shop is with 45 mins of travel.
