Thank you in advance for all of your suggestions and help.

Is it possible to achieve extreme close-ups with the AG-DVX100? As in - macro type imaging ... small insects or details of skin textures, etc., etc. Is there any adaptive equipment the AG-DVX100 can utilize for this purpose?

Thanks again!

DVX100 has a macro focus mode that works quite well. The DVX100A has also improved minimum focus distance plus both will take 72mm close-up adaptors. So, yes, it will work fine.

Yes indeed.. no question about it. You need to use a diopter, around a +1 or +2 seems to work best in my experiences.

Here are some examples from the DVX100:

Diopter

Sorry to sound stupid, but what is a Diopter (I assume a lense).

What is an approximate cost?

Thanks,

Chris

diopter is like a magnifying lens,,, some people call them macros. Cost around $100 each.
