Full Zoom Blurriness

okies, heres a conundrum....

Ive noticed at full zooom the DVX just wont focus.. (this is not the A) regrdless of what i do, the longest range i can reach with is about 92 zoom range.. manual or auto, it doesnt matter.. it just wont find focus if im at full Tele..

is it me, or is this a common issue?? I remember readng about this somewhere.. but it was so long ago.. i havent had an issue, and its really not that troublesome (the only time i zoom in far is when the cam is tripoded and im trying o achieve a decent DOF.. that and the fact that handheld work is terrible at full tele)

so any ideas?

I can focus easily at full Z99 telephoto. Infinity is properly focused at MF93, but you can focus at Z99 on something that's 4' away on full telephoto.

If you can't, that might imply something wrong with your camera.

hmm...
i havent really looked into it though, but one thing i will mention is that, in the situations where i noticed this, i had teh cam on auto focus, and i was manually tweaking..
i DID notice the AF override my adjsutments when the subjects moved though..

I think ill take the came for a test run on some static subjects and see what results i get.. this will give a more accurate result as opposed to moving figures being captured handheld a mile away....
