Why I am buying a DVX....

Because I want to perfect my skills for the HVX. The only thing I can see missing from the HVX today is Vegas NLE support and maybe enough DOF. No sense in pulling in two directions. It's hard enough to develop good habits and instincts with one camera design approach. Mixing manufaccturers just seems silly for the first five years.

I thought V6 will accomodate the HVX? (Not trying to turn this into a VEGAS issue Chris!)

Thanks John; let's hope they develop a codec; would be foolish not to I suppose. The camera doesn't come out for awhile so perhaps V7 will address it.

v7? I still feel like v5 is new, it seemed like just yesterday I was loving the simplicity of vegas 4's 24p dvx support...
