Blurry slow motion

When using the slowmotion option on the DVX200 the footage gets blurred. I had it set at 25P FHD. Here are two stills images. With and without slowmotion. Have any of you here experienced this?

I don't have this camera so sorry if I'm not much help! What is the "Slow motion option" exactly?

I only ever shoot at a higher frame rate and slow down in post.

Also if you shoot 'slo-mo' at 25fps you're not going to get very good slo mo!

The slowmotion option in DVX200 can be set up to 120 fps in full HD. I have set it to 75fps and by recording in 25p that is 3x slowing down.

Re: Blurry slow motion

The full sensor's pixels are not being read out in 120fps mode. It's doing selective pixel readout with a lower quality debayering algorithm, hence why it's blurrier.

Of the effective pixels used, it only uses a fraction of it, hence why it can scan down the sensor so fast.
