Underwater Housing?
 

Does anyone know where I may be able to buy an underwater housing / splash bag for shallow (swimming pool depth) filming using my Panasonic AG DVX 100?

Thanks for the info. I just spoke to EWA Marine in Germany and they put me in touch with B&H. I've just ended up purchasing the underwater housing, 72mm adapter, lead weights from them for my AG DVX100.......

Can't wait to get and include some underwater shots for our almost finished feature "Far from India" (www.frederickfilms.com).

I ordered the ewa-marine for my GL-1 a couple of years ago, but sent it back. Not because it didn't work - I didn't try it. It just looked a bit too flimsy to be dunking my camera in. I took my gear rafting down the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. I wasn't looking for something to dive deep in. Mostly I wanted to strap the camera to the fore of the raft while going through rapids. I ended up with a Surf ACE Scubacam DV. Check out

It kept the camera dry and away from the sand and dust. It's pretty hefty and it made me feel more secure to see my gear taking a major splashing in the scubacam. My only difficulty was seeing the monitor in harsh light. You plug your camera into a small monitor that is visible through the back circular port. I had to huddle close and shade the back to see the monitor. But I don't think you'd have any trouble if you were looking at it underwater. I also plan on taking the scubacam with my GL-2 to sea kayak in Alaska.

I would suggest the equinox pro pak 8... its the only housing thats so solid you wont worry...


If it looks like a bag you will be praying to god every time it gets wet.

I just won 1st prize with my short film "Sweet Dreams" (8 minutes long). It has an underwater shot where we look up at the actress from the sink as she washes her face in a sink full of water...... done with the EWA MARINE........ it worked like a charm....... was done in a bath tub to simulate a sink and the shot cut into place very well and looked awesome.

Would certainly recommend this simple housing for this camera.
