BUY GH2 or WHAIT?
 

Would you buy a GH2 now? NAB is still 3 months from now and cameras announced at nab don't get released immediately and even then you don't want the first batch... When are you all expecting the GH3 to come?

My best guess is IFA or Photokina in Berlin - late summer, early fall - camera available by Christmas, maybe. I recommend you buy a now - you can shoot a lot of great images with it between now and next Christmas :-)

The GH2 is for those that waited with the GH1 on the shelves, and it was worth the wait (Mk2s often are). If the next camera is a HK1 (say) then I suggest you wait for the HK2. You could die before ever getting on board.

Last I heard goes along with Bill B's statement. Nothing before summer. I don't know if this is true, but the GH2 is so inexpensive to begin with, your loss when you sell your "old" GH2 would be almost nothing. The lenses will all work with the next camera, so you then have 6-9 months to learn the camera, get experience, and shoot with it. When the next one comes out you'll be ready for it and you'll know what you are doing.

:) I know. It's silly how cheap it is. I just wanted to be sure that a new GH isn't just around the corner...
