Re: Oly 12-60 vs. Oly 14-54 vs. Leica 14-50?
I'm interested in hearing how you like the Leica too, Kevin. I wanted something wider than my Sigma 18-50 f2.8, so I added an Oly 11-22 f2.8-3.5 to complement the Sigma at the wide end. I really like the Oly, but I'm thinking about selling them both to get the Leica.

Re: Oly 12-60 vs. Oly 14-54 vs. Leica 14-50?
It's just my go to lens for quick stuff where I don't plan on many extreme close ups... Running about following people and so forth. basically I just switch it to f3.5-8 and go.
The focus gets a little funny and hitchy, and the stepped aperture isn't really a treat, but I still like the image and it has the nicest zoom of any still lens I've yet tried (I can actually pull slow steady zooms. Whee). |
Re: Oly 12-60 vs. Oly 14-54 vs. Leica 14-50?
When you talk about the focus getting funny, I assume that's only in auto-mode? I'd really like to see some run 'n gun stuff you shot with this lens- can you share a few scenes with us?

Re: Oly 12-60 vs. Oly 14-54 vs. Leica 14-50?
I'll see what I can put together
If you look at SI's recent Behind The Mic clips with Howie Long, that's all 14-50 footage, albeit neither running nor gunning and heavily compressed |
Re: Oly 12-60 vs. Oly 14-54 vs. Leica 14-50?
Do you have a link to SI's clips? Appreciate it if you could put some run 'n gun together because that's exactly what I would want it for.
