Variable frame rates in 720p mode ?

Hello ever one, is there any one know what is mean by: Variable frame rates in 720p mode:
12, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 30, 32, 36, 48, 60fps in HVX200, I saw that in http://www.creativevideo.co.uk/publi...onic_ag-hvx200

I want know if this mean can make slow mo effect ? and HD100 AND XL-H1 can make same this option?

If HVX is set to "record" at 24fn or 30fn, a.k.a. native mode, you can set the "camera" to shoot with the frame rates that you listed so if the frame rate is faster, it would become overcrank and gives you the slomo and set to slower would give you undercrank.

Both H1 and HD100 don't offer such recording scheme so you would have to do that in the post and the result won't be as good (although you can fake it pretty well under certain setting). I would say HD200 or HD250 are better to do this since HD100 won't do 720/60p. If you keep the camera work pretty subtle, the slo mo out of HD250 was fabulous. The resolution and picture looked better than HVX in fact.

But I would say HVX's ability to work with over/under-crank is very thought-after, if you are recording at 24 frame and overcrank at 60 frame then the slo mo is more than double and you can get the best fit record/camera frame combination for different outcomes and each frames would be transported to different speed without generating in between frames that will result in artifacts.
