Transferable warranty?
 

Does anyone know if the 5 yr. warranty on the HPX500 is transferable to a second owner?

OK, I found out it isn't.

Actually, if the original owner were to contact the PASS service Center in the country of the warranty(hopefully the one in country) they should be able to negotiate this to the new owner. This has to be done by the guy that purchased and registered the camera. It is within the system to make this happen. Part of the program helps track product and its service record and its owner. While it has been in effect for about a year and a half, it has long term benefits that should prove to be quite beneficial to the owner of the equipment.
