HPX300 and 35mm adapters, camera flips image?

I have heard that the HPX300 has a "invert scan mode which allows the use of 35mm adapters" What I believe that means is it flips the image upright... has anyone tried this yet? does it have an affect on the skew issues? Does this mean I could use an adapter like "brevis" without the flip module? and if so also would the mini35Compact also work well for this? Love to hear some input on anyone who used the camera and can do any kind of test to see the mode does.

I have shot with the camera extensively and the feature works fine. It has no bearing on image skew, that is a separate issue.

Yes, you could use the Brevis without a flip module, but without a custom relay, you would have to use your Brevis with the stock Fujinon which would result in a really, really long and ungainly package. The mini compact is a flipped adapter so why would you use a flipped adapter on a camera that has the invert scan mode?

Relays are in development for this camera.

The mini35 hd100 and hvx are flipped, the Compact or "C" model isnt, its upside down at the expense of making it smaller and cheaper. P+S TECHNIK | Member of 35Digital

but its great to know it doesn't effect anything else, So just so its totally clear, it doesn't just flip the image so we can see it in the VF correctly, but it actually records on the P2 card so that the image is the right way as well right?

Sorry. I thought you were talking about the Letus Mini, you are correct.

It actually records the flipped image right side up, correct, that is the big deal about this feature, it is one of the only cameras that can do this.
