HVX200, time-lapse, and the sun

Tomorrow I will be getting my HVX in the mail and plan to run out and play. I will eventually be shooting time-lapse for a doc I'm working on. Clearly shooting the sun is a bad idea due to the chances of burning the CCD's. Any one know any tricks?
