Time lapse question
Hey everyone,
Long time reader first time writer. I am having a hard time figuring out how to shoot a time lapse with the "time interval" function. The selections are highlighted in blue, disabling me to use them. Can anyone help or send me in a direction to help myself? I tried changing the recording mode from "film cam" to "video cam" but it didn't help. The manual has a brief section on this, but nothing relating to my problem. Thanks in advance James Laxton |
Me also, maybe a tutorial is out there. . .

It took me another glance at the manual also -- you do have to be in Video Cam, then Record Format should be 720p 60 (and/or at least one other setting I can't remember) then Record Function is where you can set interval, one shot, or loop.

Matt,
We like timelapse to be in 1080 30p. You usually don't go longer than a couple of minutes on timelapse. Or better yet get a Nikon D200, does interval recording in camera now!! |
The format you choose for time-lapse is up to you. I recently did a time-lapse that went 19 hours, so there again, the project length is determined by you; whether it's a couple of minutes or not. I own a D2h and 2 D2x's -- not familiar with the D200's interval.

Thanks very much Matt.
