American Standard was shot on the HVX almost entirely on location in NYC. Our theatrical trailer is ready for viewing

i viewed both trailers ( med) ...
IMO each is completely different and could be 2 different movies ...
after viewing the teaser i thought i had a general concept of the movie .. then i viewed the trailer and it left me with a different concept of the movie ...

i read the Log Sheet and felt the Teaser was more in line with it ..
either way they BOTH have my interest .. look forward to seeing the edited movie ...

thought i read something about using RED Rock ? but i'm seeing deep DoF in every shot ??? other then that it all look very good to me ...

I see how the 2 trailers come off differently and its been surprising what people "get" from the teaser considering there is almost no dialogue in it.

We did not use the red rock M2 - space didnt permit we needed every inch of the bathroom cause we were shooting on location in NYC bathrooms (that means small) - if you want to get more info check out the journal page on http://www.americanstandardthemovie.com

We are doing the edit and sound mix and then plan on submitting to one of the big festivals - we need to have the edit complete in sept (very ambitious considering about 40 hours of footage) - so you can prob guess which festival we are targeting first.

Trailer is impressive. I can't believe that one guy is ditching his HVX200 for a Canon XL-H1. Both are highly capable cameras...but people seem to be forgetting that content is king, and completely neglect the basics of story, acting, lighting, etc.

Anyway, the trailer is impressive. Too bad it's pretty compressed, but nevertheless -- impressive.

Oh, and Joey -- I believe the song is by the group Bloc Party. I can't remember the song title, but it's by them. ;)

Thats a really interesting trailer...looks quite good.
