I was shooting in film mode and went to the speed change and set it for 60 frames. and nothing happened. i playback the video and it wont shoot slow motion. Why is that?

im shooting at 24p and when i try to change the speed for slow motion it changes itself to video like images.. Can anyone help?

You have to be on 720/24pn if you are using a P2 card. If you are going out through FW then at 720/24P and then you have to use the frame converter to slow it down.

Wow... thanks man

Thank you very much for your response. It really helped me. Yes, i was shooting with a p2 card and my DP was shooting 720 24p and not 24pn.

Thanks again.

Sometimes I record 24p so can have both the regular speed and create a slow or fast motion.
I like the effect of 18fps like the old 8mm film, but if you shoot PN you get fast motion so I use the 24p.
