Cheaper Kino alternatives in UK
 

Hello - I would value your opinion & experience in the following.

As Kino Flos are very expensive in the UK (220v), I am considering buying a pair of 110W:

Tiny URL - create a shorter link (Walimex)

or

Tiny URL - create a shorter link (Photoskill) (optional eggcrate on only this one)

or

Tiny URL - create a shorter link (Konova)

None of them have dimmers, eggcrates as standard or can switch on one bulb at a time, unfortunately. And they have various styles of barn doors & mounting. And no bags as standard.

Has anyone of you got any of these lights?

I second the Coollights. I built my own Diva 200s from scratch and ended up at about U.S. $250.00 for the finished fixture, which was a good deal over the U.S. $700.00 a real Kino Diva 200 costs but Richard has his equivalent (dual 55 watt biax tubes) in a portable configuration for $273.00. And his fixture is smaller, lighter and has barn doors, which mine does not. I have two of my home built lights and I am thinking I need another two so I will be buying Richard's version as my labor is way too expensive to build more.

Coollights are a pretty good deal.

I've got the 4 bank from Richard and it works great!
KinoFlos seem a little nicer but they also cost about twice as much.
