vx2100-lighting suggestion
 

Hi everybody.

I need some help.
I am confused because no body in this forum talks abought on light camera on VX-2000 or PD-150.
Are these cameras so good that you don't acually use light in the church?
I made a few weddings last year with my old camera(4lux) and i had to use a 100watt Id lowel in full.
I understand that not all churches have the same lighting, but as a standart how many Watts you guys use with these cameras?
20?30? Also, it feel kind of funny having a Id Lowel on the top of the VX-2100! :)

Any advice/information will help me because i will film an event at the end of january.

Wow I've never heard of anyone using a light in the church. Only at the reception. I'm sure there's someone who does but I would never do it. You really shouldn't do that.

I agree, I only turn on the light at the church AFTER the kiss and as the bride & groom leave the altar to exit the church. I use a 30 W light at the cocktail hour & reception. I have a PD150 and use the PAG C-6 kit. Here is another tip I just found out by emergency, the PAG C6 light is great, except it runs on a non-standard 6V battery & bulb. I got into a jam and I just put a 12 V bulb in and was able to use it without any overheating problems with at 12 V battery belt.

No abuse and welcome. But lighting has its own forum and that's where you will find the lighting issues discussed in detail.

I've NEVER used a light in a church and now with the 150's there is no reason too. RECEPTION,AHHHHH different animal. Some are so dark I've had photogs ask me to turn my light on so they can focus.

Search the "lighting" forum for more infomation on this as there is a wealth of material there.
