Anyone used a Fluorescent 3- Lamp Module with their Rifa?

I have a couple of Rifa lights and am looking at this: Lowel | Rifa eXchange Fluorescent 3- Lamp Module | FLO-X3 | B&H

I'm wondering how much of a 'hit' you take in light output using something like this as compared to the 1000w (Rifa 88) tungsten bulb that comes with the Rifa.

Perrone Ford (a regular DVI contributor) uses them and thinks quite highly of them. DO a quick Google search on the site and you should get some great feedback.

If you look at the photometric data, its surprising how little output they give out despite the lumen output of CFL globes. I'm not sure CFL is best suited for softboxes, although i imagine the result is probably even softer light than halogen globes would give you.

If you look at the photometrics, the highest rating it has for FLO-X3 at 10' is 10fc. Thats about equivalent to the 200w or 250w halogen in the same fixture. Granted, its nice to be able to put out the same amount of light as 200W halogen for only 75W (3x25W) especially with much less heat, but if you're looking for punch it might be tough to get out of CFLs. What's also weird, is that the data on the 3x65W bulbs looks about the same as the 27W. Not sure whats going on there.

Of course if you need 5600k light, its a different story since it looks like a 1000w halogen bulb with full-ctb would have similar output to 3x25W CFL as it would not need any CC.
