Ah - the telephone! Great!

Just out of curiosity, what kind of group is it - I know you said theater management, but not sure what that would entail or why they would have a setup like that.

I'd been sort of halfway thinking that there might be some kind of theater group around with a stage that wasn't used all the time, particularly if they have summer festivals, etc. which I kind of remember happening in the area. (I'm originally from Boston but lived in NJ for quite a while and my mother's family was all from Philly and South Jersey. I know places like New Hope PA have groups that would probably have space that would work)

Re bed rental, the outfits that stage houses for sale always have contacts for that kind of furniture rental - most realtors will know them.

They run a large event theater in the Poconos. They rent out the theater for concerts, etc. at 3K per night (including seating, etc.).

When the guy asked my budget I said try 1/10th of that (3K). He told me they had a soundstage specifically for video production in Easton which would fit our budget. They have a multi stage setup there and the space we require (seeming the smaller division) is in less demand than the larger spaces. We're more or less buying "remnant" space. The guy was friendly, helpful and agreeable; we'll be doing lots more biz in the future!

As I mentioned this is exactly what we're looking for; I knew this is what we really needed from the outset. Locating something like this in the "Mayberry annex" seemed impossible until I made dat call.

This should make a huge difference in the quality of the footage and I'm thoroughly psyched! The rest of the production will be laced with my snazzy dynamic menus, overlays, grafix and gyrating doo dads, upping the overall production even more.

Once we get the grid lighting dialed in along with the camera's custom settings, this production should look just about as good as many of the exercise DVDs out there. Plus our product doesn't suck!

Great!

Post a clip of "The Making of ..." if you can.

Cool idea Jim. At the very least I'll take some setup shots with my Canon 1DS MkIII and post a link for ya!

Take care amigo!

BTW..Where in NJ did you live? I'm from there originally.
