Pro 160 VS Z96

Which of these 2 lights are better? Which put out the most light? I am trying to put my feet into the LED pool.

Most light? Don't know. The Z96 is pretty solidly built, and the magnetic plastic filters are slick - that's what I'd buy.

I have the Z96 and am very impressed with the quality of the build compared to my other Chinese LED light and my LitePanel Micro that mysteriously disappeared.. The magnetic filters are great. Makes you wonder why no one thought of it sooner.

Thanks guys I will try the 96 it just seemed like I would get more out of the 160 because it had more bulbs.

Pro160 has a 900 lux output where Z96 is 800 lux. So on paper, Pro160 is brighter. However, when using indoor, the orange filter comes with Pro160 is pretty much useless. Also Z96 has much better built.

Z96 is built much better and the light has a much nicer spread with no vignetting in the corners, it gives a pretty even light.

I have both light. They are both not diffused. using it with my XH-A1 and HV30, both appears brighter in center and dark corners until I use the included white diffuser. But then, it reduces the overall brightness.

Re: Pro 160 VS Z96

I have had both, and tested them, the Pro 160 is my preference for pure lighting power, but the Z96 is nicer. I sold the Z96, it was too weak for me after using the Pro160.

Bang for the buck the 160 is a much better value, and I like the spread. But with my new GH2, I could get by better with the Z96 now that I need less light if I had it. The 160 dimmer switch is starting to get a little weird, and may break soon. It is not as well made as has been said, but Taky is very upfront about that, and I have used and abused mine heavily. I will likely buy another.

The Comer 1800 is the king, of course, which I'm going to be using on a light stand from now on.

Taky, thanks for the warming filter! Guys, don't hesitate to buy from LA color online, he's got your back. I lost my warming filter for the 160 and Taky had me covered!
