Flolight Microbeam 256 user feedback

Hi,
If anyone is using this light can you please give me a feedback.
I found a review where the owner was complaining about the fact that is geting so warm that is melting the filters. Is that true?
Thank you very much for your input.
Best,
Eugen

My friend owns the 128, and yes, if you're leaving the light on for a extended period of time, it will start to heat up.

Thank you for the input Jack.
The fact that is heating up is, let's say, expectable but melting the filter is another discussion.
Briefly, I want to know anyone recommends this fixture. I am attracted by the power and high CRI (93).
Thanks in advance,
Eugen

I can second the 128 melting filters. Kinda ridiculous. Ive got several other LEDs from other manufacturers in all different sizes. None get even close to that hot.
CoolLights are my favorites.

Re: Flolight Microbeam 256 user feedback

Where did you see that it has a CRI of 93 ?
Yes, I believe the leds do get hot , but seeing the specs of the 256 model, at 3200K flood it has just over 1071 lux at 3 feet in brightness. At that brightness level ( rather low in my opinion for the amount of leds in it), the gels must be touching thel eds in order for them to get warm, but actually melting them ? don't think so.

Re: Flolight Microbeam 256 user feedback

Arthur,
It is true that on their site the CRI is specified only for the larger versions (512 and up).
That's why I have asked them, the answer is " for the 256 the CRI is 93"
I was also surprised about the melting issue that's why I am waiting for some more user feedback in order to take the right decision.
