I may be interested if the price is attractive. They're currently $599 with free shipping at B&H.

I just looked at the Firestore website and it looks like the FS-C is made specifically for Canon DV and HDV cameras. I used this FS-4 ProHD on my Canon XL1s with no problems, in fact it work identically to when I used it with the Panasonic DVX-100A I used to have. As long as your camera has the ability to send a signal down the firewire it will let you start and stop recording with your camera button, if it dosent you can hook up a different composite to firewire cord although most have the 1394 firewire port.

Here is the link to the FS-C info: Focus Enhancements

Hope this helps...

Chrosziel Matte Box for Sale

Chrosziel Matte Box for Sale: $1,000 OBO

Includes:
1. 416-03 16:9 Matte Box (this is what is stamped into the inside of the matte box).
2. Top flag (Chrosziel 402-26 is printed on outside of flag)
3. Two 4x4 rotating filters (Chrosziel brand).
4. Back mount is listed diameter 104mm.
5. Chrosziel brand step down ring: 104-85mm (stamped 411-23).
6. Rail support

Notes:
The matte box is dusty :)
The rail support fits loosely, but is removeable by two thumbscrews and I would advise buying an adjustable one (for some reason this one is a set height).
The very bottom of the matte box has two small square cuts to allow support rods to extend past mattbox when using the included rail supports (the rods would hit the bottom of the matte box, and sometimes this caused a problem).

Please email me for pictures. devon@lyonfilms.com

Got the NRG light kit as advertised. Thanks!

Andrew Dryden March 30th, 2009 02:03 PM

Hi Michael. Its right at a year old. I mounted it via the shoe on top of the A1 in the mount that came with it...worked pretty well. It makes the cam a little top heavy and not super probably for run and gun stuff, but I used it on a tripod.
