All Still Available?

Robert Welch September 15th, 2010 06:57 PM

Panasonic AG-HMC40 w/WA lens - 39hrs

5 Attachment(s)
This Panasonic AG-HMC40 is in mint condition, very low usage. It was a 3rd camera and has been replaced with a 150 to match the other two we have. This camera's primary usage has been at the back of the church on a tripod covering the ceremony for about 20 or so weddings. It's a terrific little camcorder, but we got a deal on the replacement camera we couldn't refuse, so this one is now available.

It comes with all the original stuff, battery & charger, cables, manual, viewer and file restore programs on CD, etc. Also included is a Panasonic x0.7 WA lens that we got used (it's an older model VW-LW4307W) which has some slight cleaning marks on the front but otherwise is clean and works well on this camera. Also included is an 8gb PNY brand SD card that gives about 45 minutes of video on this camcorder.

Price is $1,700 plus shipping, Paypal is the preferred payment method. If you purchase it in Louisiana, I'll have to charge sales tax. Email me with any questions:
robertwelch@earthlink.net

Thanks for looking!

Jeff Harper September 15th, 2010 07:05 PM

Brian, have you sold your camera? As this post is months old, I'm sure you have, but wanted to make sure.

The only thing still available is the Varizoom monitor.

Adam Gold September 16th, 2010 12:04 AM

I'm assuming you don't want to deal with eBay, as there are 27 of them currently up for auction there...

Patrick Janka September 16th, 2010 12:45 AM

Canon XHA1 + Letus 35 + Rode NTG-1

2 Attachment(s)
Excellent condition. I'm including an XLR cable and UV filter. The Letus comes with the case, rails, Nikon 55mm f1.4 prime lens, and a Minolta 35mm-70mm f3.5 zoom lens. $3500. Paypal only.

Jeff Harper September 16th, 2010 02:33 AM

You are correct, Adam. I don't even look for things at ebay any longer. It used to be the first place I looked for things. Their are many for sale there now, but at prices like $2700 for a used one I can stand to wait. There are a few for $2000, but even that is ridiculous. And I don't want need "lots of extras". They sell around here at a more reasonable price.

Paul Cronin September 16th, 2010 05:23 AM

Agree Bill I am in the same boat.

As for breaking the kit up I will only do that once the body is sold. If I break it up sooner the camera can not be used..

fx-1 for sale

I have one for sale. What price is reasonable where you live? I'm curious if 2,000 is ridiculous what the going rate is. Sounds like you could buy them where you live and put them on ebay and make a good living. Make an offer I might take it.

Charles Dasher September 16th, 2010 06:31 AM

Sent email

Hello Luke

Did you get the email I sent?

Jeff Harper September 16th, 2010 06:44 AM

I consider the going rate to be what they sell for on this forum. Do a search and it is easy to see.

For example: FX1 with one hour's use sold for $1750. I've seen them for $1500, $1600, etc. I've see a good number for $2000 or more, but that normally includes lots of extras, but not always, and they sell more slowly.

These are old cameras, and there are now two generations of Sony cameras that have arrived since. A used FX1000 can now be purchased for under $3K, so $2500 price for FX1, IMO, is laughable. I purchased a used HMC 150 last year for $2500 on this forum, it was fresh out of the box, almost new.

Z1 generally sells in the 2000- $2500 and up range, though I've seen them for less on occasion.

If your FX1 is for sale you should have a price in mind and post it or email me what you're willing to take.

Ron Little September 16th, 2010 08:13 AM

These are great cameras only used by little old ladies to shoot weddings.

OK the little old lady thing was a joke but I do take very good care of my cameras.

Charlie Branham September 16th, 2010 08:47 AM

fx-1 for sale

for 1500 to 1600 I'd leave it on the shelf to look at. Looks like you get some pretty sweet deals! Good Luck.

Tim Polster September 16th, 2010 11:03 AM

Paul, I am sorry to hear of your situation. I hope you get a swift resolution and can move your business forward. Bump Bump...

Jeff Harper September 16th, 2010 11:13 AM

The deals are not "my deals". As I explained, do a SEARCH here for the FX1 and you will see what they sell for here. The prices are all over the place. You don't have to take my word for it. I didn't ask you to sell yours. You entered the thread saying you had a camera for sale and that you were taking offers. It was obvious you were not serious. When I have something to sell I have a price in mind, I don't ask people to make offers out of the blue.

Les Wilson September 16th, 2010 11:53 AM

Sale completed.

Paul Cronin September 16th, 2010 12:00 PM

Thanks Tim,

Broke my own rule and did not get the 50% deposit for the job. Lesson learned.

Business is doing great, having my best year except for the pothole in the road.

Paul Cascio September 16th, 2010 12:36 PM

Thanks Howard. Exactly as advertised and very cooperative and courteous seller.

Ok, just giving this a bump.
The rig is still for sale, £2100, no offers, cash on collection.
Don't bother contacting me if you just want to have a play on the rig for an hour then realise that you can't master it in one hour, it ain't gonna happen, it takes practice.
Believe me this has happened to me today after i spent 8 hours driving from Bristol to London and back and giving tuition, just for the winning ebayer to decide it wasn't for him.

Chris Davis September 18th, 2010 09:00 AM

New this is $250, but unfortunately I have no use for it now. It was used for only four months, and most of that time was spent sitting by my desk.

How about $125 including shipping?

Tom Robertson September 18th, 2010 05:44 PM

Jerry, I sent you an email but forgot that my email address has changed. It's corrected now so please try to respond again. I don't need the batteries or charger and had made an offer without them included.
Thanks and sorry for any confusion.

Gan Eden September 18th, 2010 08:03 PM

Is that PAL and NTSC? What are the inputs?
