Which system did you get instead?

Hi,
Back from my trip (a few weeks now) but have been a bit busy. Back on track to get rid of some of this stuff. Still available: 1) the Andromeda setup 2) The crane - I've decided to only do a local pickup on this one (don't want to ship it out). I'll throw in the tripod I used with it (the Vanguard VT-558, worth about $70), though you'll still need to get a head like the Manfrotto (below). I could also do Seattle, since I'll probably be in the area sometime soon. Will also include the weights I used to balance it. 3) the Bogen/Manfrotto 501 fluid head 4) Glideshot Dolly 5) 10 x 10 greenscreen 6) the 24mm Nikon lens Same price as the original listing. pm or email me if you're interested. Thanks! |
Well I tried to post the pictures here but I guess they didn't post and I'm not a geek so I don't know how to fix the problem. Here are links to them on the DVX forum where it was easy to post pics.

Additional Information
I received a questions asking about the various functions of the camera and since I do not use the camera much I went through and checked all relevant functions. Everything worked except, strangely enough the useless XLR adapter. I slid it on another camera and I still did not get audio so my guess is that there is a problem with the adapter itself and not the hot shoe. I did test the 1/8 inch mic input on the PD100a and it worked fine. As I said in my post, the adapter is junk anyway and if you need XLR just buy a Beach-Tek or similar. The onboard stereo mic worked fine. I also hooked the camera up to Final Cut and was able to get a picture from my systme up on the camera. So the firewire port works and other then the XLR adapter everything checked out fine. If you have any questions let me know.

16 or 24 Bit Rate?
I was thinking of an alternative external recording device to use with a just purchased Canon HV10. The HV10 has no quality internal sound mic, I'm looking for something mobile and belt attached. I have used my EV-N/D 757B Dynamic Super Cardioid low imp handheld with a Sony 8 bit, not enough bit rate. I want at least a 16 or perhaps a 24 bit digital recorder. Let me know...

Fluid Head?
Hey Mike,
I just bought a Canon HV10 and will be doing some street DV work. I wanted to know if your steady stick has a fluid head to reduce the movement jitters, as my non fluid head tripod provides well enough. Cheers, Christo |
Do you mind...?
Posting some video with your DV Camera attached to the Merlin? Price may be close, like to see it preform the dance...
Cheers, Christo |
