Hi Daniel. Mine is actually a full, complete version. I'm selling my Vegas 5 license PLUS the upgrade to 6. No need to buy anything else.

You can download 5 from their site (No need to buy), or I'm happy to burn (yes it's all legal) you a copy of the 5 downloaded files, and send it along with the 6 upgrade.

Cheers
Aaron

FS:XL2 Excellent Conditon

Having purchased an XL H1, I find I will no longer need my XL2. The XL2 has not been used that much maybe less than 12 times. I was close to finishing my project when I purchased it from BH on 9/1/05. I find the SD on the H1 is very similar so I have decided to sell the XL2. I am asking $3,000 incl shipping (sorry US only).

I don't know anything about Vegas 6 except it's highly recommended for editing, which I want to be able to do down the road, but haven't yet, so I looked around on line for info on it, found a site that was helpful:

www.videoguys.com/vegasvideo.html

It shows Vegas 6 + DVD new for $400 U.S., I believe, and comes with extras for that price, as you see on that page . You mentioned it's $650??

B&H photo seemed to have a much cheaper version price-wise, a hundred & something, not sure what that was, no version for anywhere near 400 or more, very confusing??

Do I need anything hardware-wise to use it, other than my computer & my Z1U?

You need to describe your hardware. If you are going to do HDV, you need some pretty high end hardware to get any speed in editing. You will also probably want to get Cineform HD Connect so you can have it a bit easier editing wise-- thats about $200.00. Cineform capture M2T to an .avi format which is easier to edit, and makes it easier to color correct and do special effects. There are a lot of threads dealing with HDV editing.

Hi Daniel, that price I quoted was from the Sony site. The videoguys site is confusing to me actually. They have about 3 different prices. On that page they say as low as $399.95 after rebate. The under that they say $449 with 1 rebate, and under that, one of the other rebates (I assume other) has expired. Then when you click on 'add to cart' it's $499 including their training DVD's. Elsewhere on their site I saw about $550 (http://www.videoguys.com/realtime.htm)

Seems though that $499 would be the price with their extras, so obviously I'd be looking for less than that.

For Vegas as such, you don't need any special hardware, it's a softare NLE. Of course, the gruntier machine you have, the better.

Anyone selling an XL2 body?
thanks

Todd Kivimaki February 11th, 2006 12:32 PM

Anyone have anything?

Jon Wivell February 11th, 2006 01:22 PM

Any reason you don't want the lense?

Todd Kivimaki February 11th, 2006 02:13 PM

I would like to post that I received the zoom controllers and am very pleased with them. Ian even shipped them in the original boxes and packaging. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Ian in the future

Drew Cusick February 11th, 2006 02:56 PM

I am interested in the lense, would you be willing to sell just it?

Either way, im interested in it.

FS: DVLine Custom Editing Computer W/Sony Vegas+DVD

Here, friends, is a heck of a deal on a rock-solid, dedicated editing box. This was put together by Ken Bell and his crew at DV Line, so you know it's quality, and you know it works. No amped-up Wal-Mart cheapie, this. To the specs:

Full-tower Antec alloy case w/550-watt power supply, charcoal color
Pentium 4 3.0Ghz 800Mhz frontside bus, hyperthreading
1 Gig PC3200 DDRAM
Asus P4C800-E-DX Motherboard
Windows XP Pro
Asus GeForce FX 5200 video card w/128 megs RAM
120GB WD system drive
400GB WD Storage (2 200GB Drives, RAID 0-striped)
Sony DVD-R/RW +R/RW Drive
DVD ROM
Pyro Firewire Card
Floppy
Logitech Keyboard/Optical Cordless Mouse
Vegas 4+DVD
System Rebuild DVD
Sealed Copy Windows XP Pro
Copy Vegas 4+DVD
All Documentation

Doubtless the computer cuckoos among you will notice the specs aren't quite cutting-edge. Which is because this box is 2 years old. Still, it's a pretty formidable package, in absolutely new condition. And I need to sell it. So---

Original Cost: $2642. Used for a couple of short projects, and essentially sitting ever since. I'd like to get $1500 plus shipping. Paypal preferred. Those of you who've bought stuff from me can confirm I describe things accurately, deal honestly, and ship quickly. If you've got an offer somewhere in the general vicinity of my asking, email me at aatkinson@wwlp.com and/or patatkinsonsi@att.net. Second email address is your better bet until Monday, by the way.

I think this is a genuine deal, kids, even considering 2 years of faster-cheaper in the Windows editing world. Thanks!

Al
