WTB: G5 PCI-X powermac

I am in need of a powermac G5 that needs to be setup for HD-SDI uncompressed capture and playback. More just for testing my project I'm working on.

I'm planning for a decklink card and since I only need this setup for a few months and I'm not an editor (at least not one serious enough to need a full uncompressed HD setup) I'm hoping I can find a PCI-X based mac so i can get the cheaper decklink card.

I'm hoping for less than $1500 CAD because my other option is a new dual opteron which comes in around $1700 - $1800 building it myself. This might be unrealistic but i dont' know resale value of Mac's much. Consider going higher if its setup with a HD-SDI card or other components that I'd need (4 drive or more raid setup)

May also consider a used opteron setup again the big requirement is PCI-X (or even opteron components)

VX2000 PAL for sale

It's time to sell on my tried and true VX2000E. The original box contains everything as suppled by Sony - the Memorystick, card reader, charger, lens hood, unused eyecap, cables, battery, CDROM, SCART adapter, unused Sony strap and the remote control. I'm also selling a Beachtek DXA-4 seperately.

I'd be more than happy to demonstrate the camera and can send a demo DVD showing its superb performance. Probably best to sell here in the (PAL) UK.

The camera is in first class condition with a totally unmarked and untouched front element. Very slight markings are visible on the rubberised hood and the side-screen (the outer side, not the screen itself, which is perfect). Everything on this camera works beautifully, just as Sony intended.

I'm looking for £995. It cost me £2300.

tom.

FS: Sony HDR-HC1 LN w/all boxed accessories

I purchased this camera so one of my senior students could film their senior project in HDV. The camera has less than 10 hours, maybe less than 5 hours on it. I will also include one extended life Sony battery that was $100. All the accessories supplied by Sony with the camera are in the box.

The camera is like new and some accessories are still wrapped and in the original bags. I see no signs of problems with saturated reds etc. that some users report, with this camera.

Most users will find this camera superior to the "replacement" HC3 being offered by Sony. I think most users will find the lack of inputs for external mics and headphones a major limitation for any serious work with the HC3

Asking $1600 USD. I accept PayPal, Cashier's checks, Money Orders and personal checks. PayPal requires an additional 3% to cover fees. Checks and money orders will need to clear before shipping (can be up to 3 weeks). Standard ground shipping and insurance is included.

Pro-grade Panasonic AG-DVC200P

I have 3 of these cameras, with Kata cases. Anton Bauer Trim Pack setups, and Focus/Zoom Controllers for each. The cameras also have Fujinon 20x6.4BRM-SD lenses, Senhiesser shorty shotgun mic, and a quick release dovetail tri-pod mount.
Pictures can be found at:
http://www.thunderboltsystems.com/im...uip%20pic1.jpg

The cameras will not include the 7" LCD or the Vinten tri-pods.

I would accept offers..but am more wanting just some advice from professionals as to what to ask for these cameras. Reciepts for all merchandise can be provided..so this is not a scam or stolen property.

I am looking to make the move to HD, and these cameras, which have been used to film music videos for bands such as Hinder, Seether, 7 Mary 3, and were used also on MTV's The Grind, are on the chopping block(so to speak).

All cameras have been professionally maintained...and transported in roadcases when on the road.

I appreciate any help you guys could give.

Thanks.

AJ

You are not alone.
I'm looking for one set as well!

Tim Polster April 10th, 2006 04:58 PM

I would say the hours on the cameras would determine a lot of the value.
