Sony PDW-F350 XDCAM HD camera in mint condition

8 Attachment(s)
I'm selling my Sony PDW-F350 professional XDCAM-disk camcorder. It is in mint condition, with only 50 hours on the laser. There has always been a protective (iPhone-) cover on the LCD-screen so even there there's not one scratch. No dead pixels either. The only difference with a new one is that I cut a small piece of the rubber viewfinder cup.

It comes with a Canon 20ax6 IRS lens. This lens is older than the camera and shows some user wear, especially on the handle but is optically perfect and visually sharp as the newer HD-lenses.

Asking price: 6500,- euros, can be shipped worldwide, but local pickup preferred.

Pictured battery NOT included.

Technical data:

The Sony PDW-F350 HD professional camcorder offers multiple shooting modes, but its most impressive feature is slow motion/fast motion recording that maintains HD video quality at specific recording speeds. The specifications of the PDW-F350 meet the varied needs of a professional production.

The PDW-F350 uses Sony's exclusive Professional Disc Media, a small plastic square that encloses a data disc. The single-layer disc holds 23 gigabytes of data. The camera sensor includes three CCDs that provide 1.5 megapixel resolution each. The highest quality recording possible with this camera is 1440 by 1080 pixels.

The LCD monitor measures 2.5 inches diagonally, and a 2-inch black and white eye-piece viewfinder provides an alternative view.

The camera accepts 5-pin XLR and 3-pin microphone inputs and features a card slot for saving of setting information on a Sony Memory Card. A lighting bracket allows external lighting to be attached to the camcorder.

Output footage via DV cable, standard definition RCA, headphone and HD-SDI outputs.

The lens is removable, and the PDW-F350 is compatible with any half-inch professional camcorder lens.

Adjust the shutter speed from 4 to 60 frames per second. Select the automatic "Quick Speed" or "Slow-Down" modes to automatically adjust the frame rate.

Scene Selection
Use the scene selection menu to select and view different scenes quickly. Use the in-camera editing to trim and splice footage on the LCD screen. Use the "Freeze Mix" feature to match lighting and temperature from shot to shot.

Test report

Re: EX1 + Letus Elite

Just to make it clear that my main goal is to sell the Letus Elite bundle. I can throw in a set of nice Canon FD glass (24mm/F2.4, 50mm/F1.4, 85mm/F1.8, 35-105mm/F3.5 zoom).

The EX1 bundle as described above I'll only sell when a good offer is made on both.

Re: Complete Gear Clearout due to going blind

Terrible news Paul, sorry to hear it.
2 suggestions. First, add prices. It'll help stuff sell much quicker. People often assume prices aren't posted because the seller expects a lot for them. Second, ship to North America. The majority of DVinfo users are from here so it'll give you more buyers.

Good luck!

Sony PMW-EX1 Kit, Basic Accessories

PLEASE NOTE: This camera is in good working order with the following exception: the component video output jack is not functional. During use, a cable was pulled, and damaged the port. All other functions and outputs, including the Video output and HD-SDI output are in good working order.

******

I recently upgraded to a PMW-EX3, and I also have a PMW-F3. So, I'm selling my PMW-EX1. It's served me well, but I don't need all three cameras.

Basic info:
*I'm the second owner. First owner was a post production house, they barely used it.
*I acquired it in late 2008
* Serial number is 1025xx
*Kept in a smoke free home.
*Never dropped.
*Upgraded to firmware V1.20
*Has been tested to accept SxS-1 and SDHC cards with current firmware, as would be expected.
*Has 818H on hours meter. Please note, this means total hours on, not necessarily recording - and as a tapeless camera, there are no drum hours.
*COMPONENT VIDEO OUTPUT PORT IS BROKEN. This happened over a year ago on a set. A PA tripped over the cord, and damaged the port. Research indicated this could be repaired, but I was out of warranty, and as most of my monitoring is HD-SDI, I opted not to repair at that time. Physically, the circuit board for the video output would likely need to be replaced. Service cost would likely be higher than the part cost.
*All other functions work well.
*Lens is clean, and without scratches.
*Camera does has general cosmetic wear. As you'll note in the pictures, some labeling on the camera body has faded.
*Has been used for work within the past month. Works great.
*Included BP-U30 battery holds a good charge
*Included 8GB SxS Pro card is in good working order.

What's included: (very similar to retail kit)
*Sony PMW-EX1 Camcorder
*8 GB SxS Pro Card
*BP-U30 Battery
*Sony Charger (also serves as an AC power source for camera)
*Remote control
*Sony Strap, never used
*Composite A/V Cable (not sure it's the one originally from Sony, but tested, and works)
*User Manual

Asking price: $4,250 (USD)

Re: Steadicam Pilot-AA

6 Attachment(s)
The Steadicam is still available and I have attached some pictures. I tested it out again today and everything is in working order. The scratches on the LCD aren't bad, but could be annoying to some. Not a big deal for me because it is used for framing only.

In my pictures I have the whole setup on an Arri light stand. A short C-stand (or turtle stand) is recommended but I can include that if you want it.

Wow, thats terrible to hear man - glad to hear your taking it all in stride.

If you don't mind, when you get your prices in order, I might be interested in some CF cards and maybe the 526 (depending when my paycheck from the last production comes in.... you know...) if you don't mind the whole shipping across the pond business. Just update the thread and I'll see it...

Thank-you all for your kind words! It was a difficult decision to make but I needed to make it!

I’ll try and reply to all the PM’s – had quite a few :) but it’ll take time as it’s a slow process for me now.

I’ll ship anywhere in the World but have no idea how much it’ll cost! I’ll get some prices up, which might take time. I’d like a reasonable price for the gear but I am fair. Ideas would be welcome. I was thinking of 50% off UK street prices. Does that seem reasonable?

Happy shooting,

Paul
