If you can afford the F55 don't even hesitate. It is the best camera I have owned. I have owned Red, and lots of great 2/3" XDCAM this is a big level above. The global shutter is amazing and the IQ of the camera just surprises me all the time and it is just getting better. Sony has a winner here.

As for the lens, I am going away next week on a longer shoot and if does not sell by then I might just take it off the market and keep it.

Are you upgrading to a new camera or are you just putting the XA20 behind you. I am asking because I haven't heard of a new 2014 Vixia Camcorder line but I have noticed that pricing has come down a bit on the entire line. I picked up the high end consumer HF G20 for $540.00 New from my local Best Buy. I was thinking of returning it, even at that price to get the more expensive HF G30 or perhaps your previously owned model, the XA20.

I'm moving on. I bought the cam for it's 20x zoom, but another cam I purchased now covers my long zoom shots just as well. Still debating my next cam purchase, but looking at bridge cameras.

I'm not sure what state you're in but here in Illinois, the Camera is on sell for $849.99. If you buy an open box HF G20, the price as of last week was 721.99. After I purchased the camera, my Best buy posted an in store sale offering an additional 20% off of the open items. I was able to get the adjustment and then literally the next day, Best Buy came out with a corporate discount to Reward Zone members for another 10% off and 5x Bonus Points. I was going to return the camera and upgrade to the HF G30 but at the price that I paid, I cannot justify the cost differential.

Just go online to Best Buys website and click on the open box link, select your store location and then put in your item of choice in the search engine. I will locate the item in and around your area. Call before you go to confirm that they have it in stock. If not, shoot me an email and I will send you the store locations here that have them and you can probably order them through your Best Buy.
