Sony Wide Angle Lens UV filter?

Does anyone know of a wide angle lens uv filter that will work with the wide angle lens that is provided with the PD170? This lens doesn't have any threads on the face of it to allow you to attach a uv filter. I think that its manufactured by kenko and sony puts their name on it, but, the actual kenko lens that is the equivalent of the sony lens has threads for attaching the filter. Hoping there is a company out there that is manufacturing something for correcting this problem. It's a shame that these lenses don't allow you to protect the glass with some sort of filter. I also use the lens hood that is provided by sony for this lens, but if I have to use some sort of clamp on filter, I probably wont be able to fit the camp on filter with this hood. Don't want to have to purchase an additional hood, but, I might have to in order to get some protection for this lens.

Brand New Zylight Z90

Hi,

This is an amazing light, which can change color temperatures with a touch of a button. You can dial in any color you want too ... without any filters.

I really want to keep this light, but I've decided that I need an onboard LCD more than this light that I just bought. Is anyone interested in purchasing it.

It has never been used and is in brand new condition. So I suppose I'm trying to minimize any loss on it.

Let me know if interested. I'm thinking $875 for the following:

Z90
D-Tap power chord
Camera hot shoe mount

Nick, the usual convention here is to include your price with new item listings, and maybe whether you're firm regarding that price or open to a bit of haggling. Your sales will go much more quickly--and there will likely get more interest--if you provide as much info as you possibly can in your post.

This lens hood got lost over the weekend while shooting with another cam. It is an $18.95 item from B&H so I'm reducing the price on the HV20 outfit above by that and a little more.

$599 includes insurance and UPS ground to anywhere in the lower 48. For 2nd day air add $15

PM if interested.

When I had my PD170 I never found a clamp-on UV filter for the wide angle lens. I did use a Formatt matte box with a clear 4x4 filter to protect the lens.
