Please notice my Canon XH A1 is a PAL-camera. I've used Sony Premium tapes, never had any problem. The only thing that's missing from the camera is the small plastic external mic holder. I once screwed it off because I never used it (I always use the J-rod mic-holder on the hotshoe) and now I can't seem to find it. Anyway, you can always order this item, it's a small plastic ring.

The Century Optics one is optically superior but weights more then the Red Eye one. I have paid around 690$ for this adapter including the protective filter. Used it 4 times.
