Bebob controller

I noticed the new Bebob controller has a scroller that will slow the zoom. I currently have a V-Zrock that I use on my Sony Z1u and Sony V1u. I was wondering if anyone has a good impression of the Bebo products?

Steven,

See the post here: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=111804

I'm very happy with the functionality on my V1E, including the zoom speed setting, but there seems to be a robustness issue, two different people have broken speed wheels.

Maybe I just shouldn't have hit it with a tripod leg...!

Well, ok, now I'm not so sure about getting it after reading that thread. That unit is more money than my Varizoom and if I pay more money then I expect the thing to at least hold together. I emailed Bebob twice over the past several weeks, and haven't heard a thing. Hmmm. That together with the breaking issues, I might stick with Varizoom.

Thanks Mike

I used several Bogen-Manfrotto 523 PRO LANC controllers and they all work wonderfully; see http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...onal_Zoom.html
