Lanc Controller for Manfrotto 500MVA
 

Hello all, just bought a light weight tripod kit with a Manfrotto 500MVA head.
I thought I would be able to use my Manfrotto 523 Pro Lanc controller (camera is a Canon XF100) which connects to my Vinten Vision 3, but the connecting hardware is too large. Is there an adapter I can use to connect the 523 to the 500MVA head, or do I need to buy a new Lanc controller. If so, is the Manfrotto MVR901 EPLA the correct match? I looked on the Manfrotto web site but can't find relevant info.
