Mechanics, if you really want to work on actual productions, you will need to pull focus and have accurate and repeatable focus with a long throw....

Make sure your AJA is set to record at 10bit and not 8bit. The different when working with color will be greatly different with 10 vs 8 rather than the 420 vs 422. 8bit 422 will not hold up that well...

I love my compact RED 18-50 and its perfect for run and gun situations when you really need a zoom, but for me Primes are much more of a stable investment anyway. I hope in the next few years more...

I have been tempted by that same lens but sadly it is a huge beast to deal with and they are all right, you're going to be spending around 800+ dollars just to be able to mount that thing properly. ...

I am having a similar issue but with the 32gig card... I copied the BPAV folder from the card, and dropped it onto USB drives, then when I use XDCAM Transfer to mount the folder, it doesn't do a damn...

someone on here said the AF100 was organic looking... I believe the exact opposite, even the "best" videos from that camera have just been video looking. The F3 on the other hand is a whole different...
