The rushes clip in question has indeed been used elsewhere on the timeline with that small segment stabilised!

I had no idea Vegas was stabilising...

the clip is on the same track as others that behave normally. No track motion, no effects even. Nothing!

It also does the same thing when moved to another track.

Really perplexing!

Thanks guys, yes have tried all of those things. Clip properties are exactly the same as every other that behaved normally and I can create a new project dropping the same clip onto a new timeline...

I have no idea why this has happened and have never come across it before but a project using a mixture of XDCAM EX source files has lost the location of each clip and somehow a duplicate of each...

Thank you Norman, that's pretty much what I had in mind compiling. What I notice from that table though is that no-one has run the test with professional workstation cards though.

Thats exactly it. I thought I'd deleted it but I kept seeing physical memory exceed 99% and the machine crash. Every time I stopped the process it started to climb up the list until the same happened...

After careful consideration of how we work and different customer needs I bought both! it's so useful on the fs700 to give the client an SD card or even copy those files...
