Re: Repair pan on Sachtler Ace M head?

Yep, that's pretty steep. Hmm, guess you better tool up and get stuck in then.

As a matter of interest, what's a new one going to set you back if the worst happens, I'm not familiar with UK...

Re: Repair pan on Sachtler Ace M head?

Hi Dave,

It might be worth firing a query to Sachtler UK

https://www.sachtler.com/en/contact-us/

and check out what a service & clean would set you back. I'm not sure anything but a...

Re: Would this work as a monitor?

Hi David,

Not too often I see a "New Boot" with a join date of Aug 2008 and a post count of 12!

With the caveat that it's not a "full HD" unit I can't see any obvious reason why it shouldn't...

Re: An idea to attract and encourage new members

I haven't given this a shed load of thought, just enough to be dangerous, but................

Is there any mileage to had by asking the 40,000 odd (some of them very odd indeed!) members by...

Re: Nagra ivl recorder power supply.

A P.S. to the above...............

You could try plugging the Nagra power supply into the mains, connected to the tape deck, for a week or four and see if that sorts the problem, power on both,...

Re: Nagra ivl recorder power supply.

Hi Bob,

Been a while since I've seen you around here.

My guess is that the electrolytic capacitors in that power supply have gone phut and need replacing though if the values are unreadable it...

Re: Prosumer video fluid head for Canon TA-100 and Bogen 3192?

Hi Dan,

Been a while since I've seen your type of question here so I'm a bit rusty on the subject, but pretty well any flat based head with a 3/8" socket will fit that Manfrotto half ball base.

Re: How can I turn on the Atomos Ninja without a battery ?

Something that has been nagging me about this whole USB - C thing, as I'm "old school electronics" (and I really must stress the "OLD" here, I was waving a soldering iron around when I was 6 years...

Re: How can I turn on the Atomos Ninja without a battery ?

Having done a little bit of light reading, it would appear this bizarre arrangement is some of the fallout from the EU's war on the proliferation of power packs, all with proprietary connectors,...

Re: How can I turn on the Atomos Ninja without a battery ?

Umm, that was one of the units I looked at.

It quite clearly states that it is shipped with a BATTERY ELIMINATOR .

It says nothing about shipping with a battery, which are obviously OPTIONAL...

Re: Adapter for Manfrotto to Miller Solo?

Hi, Len..............

From the looks of it, the rosette on that arm is only compatible with Manfrotto units. I can't make out from any of the photos whether the arm rosette can be removed and...

Re: How can I turn on the Atomos Ninja without a battery ?

Can you put up a link to exactly which unit you're talking about? I've just checked out the Atomos web site and they clearly mention "Battery Eliminator" for several of their units, so I'm somewhat...

Re: Uninterruptible Power Supplies - UPS

Hi Anthony................

If your mate only wants enough time to scram the system down on a power out, a single office desktop/ screen/ router should have about 10 - 15 minutes with a 750VA UPS....

Yep, you've guessed - the entire handle system was a sticky mucky...
