Re: Playing tricks with HD for hobby application?

I guess I can't read, Dale. You did mention that you pan and zoom at the same time. Do you know whether Vegas is any more suited to this kind of editing than other editors?

Within the limits of...

Re: Playing tricks with HD for hobby application?

Thank you, so much, for your response.

I may not have made clear that I'd like to be able to "zoom" while panning (Ken Burns effect). Then, near the end of the pan/zoom, dissolve to the SD shot....

Playing tricks with HD for hobby application?

I wonder if it is reasonable to play games with HD.

Here's what I am thinking. (This idea is in the context of an orchestra concert.) Put an HD camcorder (aimed so as to capture the whole...

Thank you for your thoughts.

I am not a video expert, and don't have any grounds to disagree with you.

But, I'm just thinking... Regardless of whether the tape has been reused, or not,...

MiniDV tape: Not just like a computer file

I used to think that a MIniDV tape was like a computer file: i.e., a sequence of bits that, like a computer file, transferred bit-for-bit from the camcorder to the destination file on a computer.

"For Seth, if INTL isn't applicable, what if I added CONUS+AKHI to the list of prefixes?"

What if we just called CONUS+AKHI by the name "US"?

1/8" stereo to 2 x 1/8" mono jack adapter?

I would like to "break out" the 1/8" stereo mic input on my camcorder to two mono inputs.

This would be useful, for example, for using two AT Pro 88w receivers (which have 1/8" mic output plugs)...
