They are camera mounted

They have a camera mount that attaches to the cold shoe on the HD7. I have been up to 20 meters away and not had a problem. The model I have is 2 channel, I have ran two with one on each channel...

I have a couple of Azden wms-pro lapel mics and their cheap 3 channel mixer. For the price I think they kick butt. I also have a DK shotgun mic which is OK for 3 or 4 meters but I prefer the lapels,...

A/V jack

The a/v jack can be used for the headphone jack. Get Steve's book it has diagrams how to build an adapter from ratshack parts so you can plug headphones into it.

The silver will be branded Victor and not JVC. It is the japanese model, not US. No US warranty I think.

For headphones on my hd7 I use Steve's idea from his book with the hacked iPod plug from ratshack plugged into the a/v jack.

Liquid doesn't care what the source is, you can use all sorts of different footage and it will render it to the timeline's specs. I just set up an NTSC 16:9 timeline and make sure the GL1 is shooting...

O wow thanks, yeah I'm really getting to like this little camera. Things I'v e found out are it's really easy to overexpose outside when your running manual, and I'm doing that a lot just to learn....

The GZ-HD7 will NOT shoot SD. It will shoot FHD 1920X1080 and HD 1440X1080 CBR and VBR. For my SD work I just pull the files off the camera change the file extensions and throw them on an SD 16:9...
