there is a terrible stuttering if you'll shoot EX1 on steadicam slow motion with IS on, other than that i never noticed any difference, but it could be different for other cameras;

if you will be outputting to TV, all newer ones have HDMI and it's straight forward, just don't forget to turn off on screen data, but if we're talking projector located in venue, i doubt that, they...

No Noa, i shot that video, and I am telling you, to my eye after 15db Sony's footage wasn't usable, and again, to my eye 18db on HF G10 is acceptable, but just acceptable.

24-105mm is not the best choice lens for low light shooting even with DSLRs, and they are much better in low light than RED cameras, but if you can rent f 1.4 lenses and have couple small lights,...

and Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 no IS, goes for $500-600, just remember, shooting video @200mm without IS you'll need a heavy tripod, Sigma is a sharp lens, but Canon's IS as just amazing and very helpful

Canon 15mm is a bit sharper, at least mine :), but Samyang 14mm is very good for $350, and has less barrel distortion

i have 1500 hrs on my EX1 and about 1000 hrs were shot on 16/32Gb SDHC cards with SxS adapters,

Best value for your money is EX1, no second thought, i love that camera, and was hoping for EX5 from NAB 2012, but looks like large sensors with no AF and no powered zoom are more popular these days,...

IS is outstanding, but unfortunately that is not something that I really need, cuz I don't shoot handheld, and my G10 has slightly better image;
