Re: It finally happened that someone......

I am so over weddings. I don't miss them or the BS that goes along with them at all. Best thing I ever did was retire. Seriously, even the corporate stuff...not missing it one bit. I am so much more...

Re: I need a wireless mic system

Good luck in...

Re: Contract Language to Protect Number of Edits?

I agree with the charging of time for re-edits not to mention the first 3 requests they have are IMO ridiculous. You are shooting a LIVE ONE OFF event and if her eyes are moving, well what would they...

Re: Lapel Mics...recommendation?

Lisa,
if your running as a 1 person crew, meaning you don't have a qualified sound tech with you, I would skip the mixer and run straight to the camera.
I've done that over the years with wired...

Re: Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Rabbi= Jewish Priest ;-)

Hora=big circle of people dancing...This can be dangerous. Watch for flying elbows.

The men will more than likely pick the mitzvah up in a chair and dance around him....

Re: Wedding on a yacht - need advice?

I've done about 12 or so on "yots" most on Lake Michigan which is not the smoothest water around. Generally it's a later start so the sun really wasn't a problem. The sun was in the west and going...

Re: I want to shoot seminars. Where do I find clients?

It's my experience that the client (the group putting on the seminar or conference) set's it up with the hotel. They block out rooms, arrange food, banquets or buffets etc. At the same time they talk...

You're going to be in competition with more than just video guys.
Around here (Chicago) there are 3 major AV companies that handle the vast majority of seminars, large and small. They supply the...

Re: Architect problem... claims project is more GB than it is
