Sony $500 A1 rebate for businesses only?

Sony's online rebate form requires a business name. Do indies and hobbyists qualify for the $500 rebate?

Thanks, as always :)

Hi Dave,

Thanks for more helpful info!

What about using the hood without a protective lens for indoor shoots? Would that be OK or should a protective filter always be on?

Thanks again!...

Will a protective filter fit between A1's lens and hood?

Living in a windy beach city, I wouldn't think of not using a protective filter. Is it possible to fit a UV filter on the A1 between the lens and hood?

Best audio for video - A1 or HC1?

Would the A1 and its included mike be the better choice for a non-broadcast, instructional video?
Or could the HC1 provide just as good audio with an added Sony mike or lav?

Thanks!
