Re: Smoking Marshall monitor questions
Which converter do you have? There are a lot of "little" ones. What is the power spec on the Marshall monitor? In fact a good place to start is to list up all the components you're using and their...

Re: Focus FS-100 firmware
Cards are a lot less power hungry but have their own sets of problems. 2 1/2" drives are pretty tough and a lot cheaper at larger sizes. But need more power.
Nothing's perfect. Hope you wind up...

Re: $200k Fine
In a word, "Yes!"
There are proceedures to be followed, but having followed them the FAA can indeed make enforceable rules.

Re: Focus FS-100 firmware
I used one on my JVC for a while - worked OK I guess, but somehow I never liked it so I got rid of it and use an Atomos via a couple of BlackMagic mini-adapters (Component -> SDI and SDI -> HDMI).

Re: Correct workflow for C100 AVCHD
Hi Alex
Welcome aboard.
The reason you wanrt to aim Premiere (etc) at the whole folder is that IF you have a long recording, the camera breaks it into smaller files, and will be a frame or two...

Re: Is there a PL body to EF Lens adapter?
OK - I actually chased down the specs. Seems that PL FFD (Flange Focal Distance) is 52mm, Canon EF is 44mm. So it looks like it won't work. Hate to admit I was wrong, but such is life!

Re: Is there a PL body to EF Lens adapter?
If you have a Canon camera there's a trick that should let you set the aperture using your Canon DSLR. Haven't tried it (yet) myself since I just have a "lowly" EF C100!
Re back focus, if the EF...

Re: Anton Bauer tandem
I've been using mine for - well, years and years with no issues whatsoever, I bought it about the time I got the HD110. Easily 6 -7 years ago. Maybe more.
I run component out to a couple of Black...

Re: Bullet cam - Real or April fools joke?
Hi Noa,
Hope you don't have to fly somewhere with your box of 10 "cameras" - I'd hate to see you trying to explain them to the security folks.
"Uhh, sorry officer, I was just bringing them so I...

Re: Sigma 150 - 600mm lens on a C100?
I tried the lens on the C100 - works quite well. DP AF works just fine even with a 2X extender (although I think manual focus is better at the extremes since there's a bit of huntig when it looses...

Re: Automated Zoom Controls for Canon C100
FInally settled on this one - it would give me the option of using it either fastened to the bottom of the lens foot or without the foot. Should have it to try next week.

Re: Automated Zoom Controls for Canon C100
Next challenge will be trying the FF as zoom control on my 150-600 Sigma lens (with 2X extender). I've been playing with the lens on my C100 (well, maybe it's a case of having the C100 on the lens...

Sigma 150 - 600mm lens on a C100?
I'm thinking of getting the lens and the 1.4x or 2.0x extender and wondering if anyone has tried it on their C100, I do mainly orchestral/classical performance video and often want a real tight shot...

Re: Automated Zoom Controls for Canon C100
It isn't as automated as I would like, but I think the autofocus on my C100 is good enough that I use my manual follow focus to operate the zoom and let the camera take care of the focusing. Works...

Re: Question about figure 8 capsules
I use a Schoeps figure 8 mic one of my normal mics. But I'm not sure why you mention it with stereo in the "same breath" - a stereo mic it isn't. If you want to use it to capture stereo you'll need...

Re: C300 vs. C100 mark II
I had the older 100-400. Didn't like the push-pull so I sold it. Thinking of the Sigma 300 - 600 as a replacement. I prefer to use my follow focus to zoom, since the AF is quite good.
