Re: FS700 to Canon 1Dm4
Yeah, I was thinking that. But the slow-mo is something I want as part of the video I plan on shooting. I did a lot of work with Twixtor. I love slow mo and time-lapse...everything in between. I...

Re: Cheap LED Ring : Anyone?
I should probably mention I'm in Japan. Shipping would cost way too much. Lighting here costs way too much. A lot of stuff on ebay coming from China and Hong Kong is cheap. Like I said, it's to lug...

Cheap LED Ring : Anyone?
I'm looking to light for an interview style shot. This is not a paid gig, this is for me to start doing some video 'diaries' 'projects' for my students at their homes. I don't mind lugging some gear...

Act of Valor movie shot on 5D
I don't know if you've seen the trailer, looks good. I was surprised to hear it was shot entirely on the 5Dm2.

Re: 70-200 L-series 2.8
For shooting stills, it all depends on whether your subject is moving or not. There's plenty of IS information (Or VR for Nikon lenses) and how they function.
I'd look at the 70-200 4L IS. I can't...

Re: Timelapse Osaka
Not 1/50
These are from still photos. I drag the shutter to 1 or 2 seconds. During the day I have a couple of ND filters with me.

Re: 60p firmware doable with 7D and 1Dm4?
Sorry, I should've been more specific. I meant 60p at 1080.
Slowmo with this camera is shooting 60p at high shutter speed, putting it in a 24p timeline then using twixtor to do the rest of the...

Re: samyang 35mm 1.4 m/f
I loved my 30mm when I had it. It was my go to lens.
I can't comment on the Samyang but I'd check out some Vimeo and Youtube vids. It is a manual focus lens which is great for saving money...

Using home TV as monitor?
What inputs or outputs (I am so technically inept here) would be required to use your home TV as a way to monitor video you're shooting? Or is it even possible?

I don't do them but I've seen quite a few and asked enough about them I may be able to chime in until some of the veterans answer:
