CX 760 Clips Stored Randomly

I just imported clips from a 3 week trip using Sony PMH software as I always do.
The video had been recorded onto the internal memory of the camera.
The files imported as folders for each date as...

Re: G Tech drives and Premeire CC

I know the feeling.
My system was 6 years old and still doing the job, but I could see it becoming obsolete.
I finally bit the bullet this year and upgraded to a new Dell 7910 with Intel Xeon hex...

Same here, except that now I have switched to Solid State Drives.
Hopefully they will be a bit more bullet proof...

Re: 4k 4096x2304 clips, what hardware to playback?

I would think a RAID 0 would be very helpful.
I used to edit exclusively in Cineform HD and always used a RAID 0 as the media drive.
The CF codec is "lightly" compressed and not a big strain on...

Re: Default Transition Behavior

Re: BEST X70 Picture profile settings

Thanks, Paul
I'll crank in these settings tomorrow and give them a whirl.
Really appreciate all of your hard work on this.

Re: Default Transition Behavior

Got it!!
On the top pulldown menus: SEQUENCE>Selection Follows Playhead - uncheck this item.
Now I can navigate edit points with arrow up/down, and CTR D will drop the transition on the selected...

Re: Default Transition Behavior

The arrow up/down keys work correctly as far as navigating the edit points on the timeline.
I think the culprit is the playhead (CTI). Whatever clip the playhead is positioned over, or when placed...

Default Transition Behavior

Back in the day (CS6??), you could navigate to the desired edit point using the arrow up/down keys then hit CTR D and your default transition would be applied to that point.
In the recent versions...

Re: Change field order of interlaced footage?

Changing the field order of interlaced video can be fraught with confusing problems.
In my experience, the most bulletproof workflow is to maintain upper field first throughout, including the final...

Re: Export Help - Before I throw my computer against the wall!

In the export settings you should be using "Format: MPEG2-DVD"
One potential critical issue is the frame order.
1080i video is interlaced UPPER FRAME FIRST
MPEG2-DVD format defaults to "Field...

Re: Are people still using Encore?

I use Encore CS 6 fairly frequently to deliver on Blu Ray.
If you are a CC subscriber and have the serial number for CS 6 I think you can still download & activate Encore CS6 from the Adobe site, or...

Re: dynamic link wont transfer Premiere project

Are you trying to export the same timeline each time?
If so, the problem may be something related to that project or sequence.
Maybe try opening a new project, throw a few random clips on the...

Re: 4K upgrade license received

Three days ago I registered on the eCSite with apparently no problem, but have not yet received a password.

Re: 4K upgrade license received

What URL did you use to find the registration page??
Everytime I go to the eCSite link I get a page that has no option to sign up & register (U/N, P/W, etc.)
This is astonishingly lame
Thanks

I have turned this camera upside down & backwards trying to get it to automatically reset to 0 for each take.
There is apparently no way to do it.
That function could be restored in a...

Re: After 3 years, is CC working? Worth it?

I've been on CC from day one and it has been frictionless for me.
Everything works well, stays updated, and has been stable.
I'm still using a 5 year old Win 7 64, Intel i7, 24 GB RAM machine and...
