Re: Video shot with Canon 60D

keep in mind that was my first little play thing with a DSLR. I know it's not perfect, not graded, but my point is that you can get some good shots without always haven't to push that it has crazy...

Re: 7D or 60D for HD Dslr?

i am a 7d owner as you can see in what I wrote above.
My brother has the 60d and a company I work for has the 5d

If I were to buy today, primarily for videos, 60d no question. Maybe even t2 with...

Re: Canon 50mm 1.4 or Sigma 50mm 1.4 for video

Although there is a slight price difference
I think the filter size of the Sigma is 77, which makes a difference for me, since my 70-200, 11-16 lenses all have the same. That would end up saving...

Re: Video shot with Canon 60D

while I agree with you guys about the DSLR look and using DOF to your advantage

I don't agree that it is the only thing that makes it look better.

I shot this little clip about a year ago, it...

Re: 7D or 60D for HD Dslr?

my brother has the 60d, with manual sound, flip out lcd, no overheating and so on, it seems like a better buy for video.
For stills 7d is slightly better, but if I was a still photog, I'd have...

Re: Grading...tips?

I appreciate your help guys, I'll get started with the two (now, painfully obvious) starting points that you guys mention and see where I land from there.
Thanks again

Grading...tips?

Hello

Sorry if this is in the wrong section but was wondering if you all had any tips on where one can learn some colour theory and how to grade (in FCP/Color)

I know my way around the Final...

Re: What Lens?

the 24-70 is an amazing lens, I only use it on the 5d however

If you are on a 7d, I'd stick to something wider, IMO, you'll have more use for the wider ends than longer ones, and you'll have much...

Re: New 60d advise

interesting, what brand is the 28 1.8 that got better reviews? there is really hardly any noticeable difference IMO between the 28-30mm IMO, I was considering updating to the sigma 30 1.4, but if...

Re: New 60d advise

hey steve, I'll bite
I use the 7d
ISO settings on 160, 320, 640 and double that there on out, if I have to go up to near 1600 I use NEAT video plugin to remove noise, although, most the time, I...

Re: What Lens?

gotta agree with Jon above me about the gaps.

I just got the Tamron 17-50 2.8, and am pretty happy with it so far.
and for the price, that is an unbeatable combo. The Tamron with my 7d is my...

Re: which lens 70-200mm f/2.8L IS the old or the new ?

Most of my work gets sent elsewhere, so I try to keep it somewhat neutral as I am not always...

Re: 60D's 1/30 shutter speed

most will say that you'll get far too much noise in an ISO setting that high
whereas you'll get motion blur with a shutter speed too low.
