Oh yes i found the way to overcome that on apple support forums. You cant use the auto detect. I installed 2 patches but i cant seem to find the page again. Try googling 6970M Win 7 driver

Jeff, i had the same issue. Was solved once i upgraded my GPU driver. And my GPU is not even supported! After the upgrade i was able to render and had a 2x rendering speed boost. Hope this helps.

Yikes its off for my GTX260! But guess what, i have seen an almost 2x increment in rendering speed to mp4. Wonder how does that work!? Bruce, just do a test and you should see the difference. Anyway...

I had a crash when it prompted that my GPU drivers are not the latest. After updating it worked like magic.

I run Vegas 10 on a MacPro (2009 ver) and it doesnt run well. DSLR footage are very jerky. Macbook Pro V10 on the 2011 17" works pretty well via bootcamp.

if the GPU works that alone is worth the upgrade for me. I ended up with 2 new laptops because V10 struggles with DSLR footages on most systems besides an Alienware.

i think this is one of the reasons why Vegas isnt popular with the pros. You just cant mvoe proj files to other platforms or vice versa. FCPX just joined us thou!
