Bob, we make a Sony EX version of the adapter that you need. But we can easily use the L plate instead of the standard BP-UXX style plate to power the Nano. Contact me directly if you need it.

Ethan, they actually made the Panasonic version, not sure of Canon. For us Panasonic is more popular than the Sony. So I assume that B&H sold out the Panasonic version quicker for the same reason....

Yes Ronn, the base EX-V adapter is a plate with a cable attached, no electronics. The 5V version of it has a high efficiency 5V (up to 3A) voltage regulator inside.
