Re: New Sony E-mount video cam for IBC

I seriously doubt Sony would exclude XLR inputs on an FS camera. On a VG series camera, sure. But the FS line is professional level. It fits between the FS700 and FS7.
Of course it will have XLR...

Re: New Sony E-mount video cam for IBC

More rumor info from SAR:

Quote:

"New Sony F cam Friday is S35, not FF. 4K internally, but 8 bit XAVC-L (note the L) 100 Mbit max. No HFR as far as I can tell, 30fps max in 4K. Looks like a...

Re: New Sony E-mount video cam for IBC

That's not the EA50. That's the FS700, which has just seen a big price drop. I'm thinking it will be more professional than the EA50. Since it's shown between the FS7 and FS700, I'm thinking it'll...

Mov? Mp4? Avchd?

I recently purchased an HC-X1000. I will be shooting a video of a person at a meeting. I will shoot in 1080. I see I have a choice to shoot in MOV(LPMC), MP4(LPMC), MP4 and AVCHD. I was wondering...

Re: Nikon P900 24mm-2000mm???

All I know is, after attempting to shoot Venus and Jupiter's convergence last night and then the full moon, I'd love to give this zoom range a try. Even with a 300mm on an APS-C-sized sensor camera,...

Re: Gamma Curve Tests

Honestly, I wasn't that impressed. All the video looked washed out and flat, even the Clog corrected stuff. The wide dynmamc range video wasn't too bad.

Short film shot w/ A7s using moonlight only!

This short narrative film was shot with the A7s using moonlight as the only light source!
The crew used bounce cards to fill in shadow details.

Re: Canon XC10 vs. Sony RX10-II

I do not understand why the camera manufacturers burden their worldwide camera distribution with this silly European 30-minute time limit. We here in the US don't face a tax burden on a video camera....

Yes, I finally gave up posting on the other site. Just a bunch of kids arguing. I check to see if anybody has added relevant info on the camera, but not much. Just a bunch of hand-wringing.

Re: BlackMagic - URSA Mini

Yes, but where does it get its power? Will other cameras be able to supply power to the EVF? Not sure what a "standard" power connector is.

And the lack of ND filters is baffling. Having used an...

Panasonic AJ-PX380 camera

Based on the description, it looks to be the AVC/Ultra replacement for the HPX370. No pics, but it's a 3- 1/3" CMOS shoulder cam. It looks like it's optimized for news gathering.

Re: New camera: Sony PXW-X320

Interesting, that I have a PMW-300 that I rented out to a local company. The company also has a 320. In the end, the camera ops preferred the 320 because of the ergos, and decided not to rent my...

Re: BlackMagic - URSA Mini

If it's the same price of the URSA - maybe even cheaper? - it sounds like it could be a heck of a deal.
A shoulder mount camera, still the best camera design.

Re: New camera: Sony PXW-X320

Thanks for the correction. My bad.

The 300 can be upgraded to 10-bit, 100mbps through firmware. I think it's an XAVC codec. But not sure it can do 60P or 50P.
Have you heard of an upcoming...

New camera: Sony PXW-X320

I saw this on the live Sony feed, just a quick glimpse.
It looks like the XAVC replacement for the PMW320: 1/2" shoulder mount cam. It looks a lot like the PMW320.
